Search By Date Or Duration
If you’re available for certain dates, the whole summer, or maybe during the Christmas holidays, you can search by date.
This will show you what is available during this time frame.
If you have a preferred duration of sit, you can also add that. This is great if you’d rather stay in one place for the entire time. It’s also a good option if you’d rather do many short houses sits.

After you filter the search, you will see opportunities for you. Do any of them sound appealing?
If you notice a high amount of house-sitting opportunities in Los Angeles or London. If you zoom in, you’ll see the options in either of those cities.
Maybe You Want to House Sit By The Beach or in The Mountains?
Trusted House Sitters has many filters to help you find the perfect house-sitting gig.
Maybe you would like to house sit by the beach or in the mountains.
Maybe you crave city life or would rather stay somewhere more rural and relaxing. You can search for that.

Want to Care For a Certain Type of Pet (Or Maybe No Pets?)
You can also filter for preferred pets. Maybe you want to sit for some of the less common pets. Or you want to stay somewhere with lots of fur babies.
Perhaps you need to bring the family along or have disability access. Maybe you would prefer to stay in an apartment. Those are other filters you could use.
After using filters, you’ll be able to narrow down the possibilities!
Consider Travel Expenses
If you still have hundreds of options, consider the cost of travel.
Would you be able to afford an international flight or would you rather stay in your own country?
Just remember, even if the actual travel expense is high, you don’t have to pay ANYTHING for accommodation. So you’ll be saving a lot of money!
